About Us
Founded in 1959 our school presently teaches about 90 elementary, high-school and adult learners.
We are very proud and fortunate that the Central Agency of Schools Abroad (ZfA) of the Federal Republic of Germany is a strong supporter of our programs.
What We Offer
- Small classes.
- Classes for both native German speakers and those wishing to learn German as a second language.
- Enrolment at any age (minimum age: 4 years).
- New students welcome year-round in most classes.
- Advanced classes in preparation for Federal Republic of Germany Accredited Examinations.
- Advanced conversation class.
- Cultural content and extracurricular activities.
- Volunteer opportunities.
- German exchange program for High-school students.
Most classes participate in weekly music lessons under the guidance of a professional voice instructor as a way of becoming acquainted with the rich heritage of German folk and popular songs. We firmly believe that singing helps language learners to overcome their reluctance to utter foreign sounds and improves their pronunciation.
At special events such as the German Canadian Club’s Christkindl Market in November, our annual Christmas Celebration in December, and our Last Day of School Party in early June, students show their parents and guests what they have learned, by singing, acting or reciting poetry on stage.
